Book Review - November 2008
From the Publisher Reverend Goodlove the Third and his three sons are known for spreading more than just the gospel around the Sweetwater Powerhouse of God.

Soon, the Pastor has to get more than just his mega-church in order. There are rumors flying about his sexuality and his second wife can't seem to gain respect from the church elders who just won't allow the late Mrs. Goodlove's memory to rest in peace.

His oldest son Damien will have to stop chasing skirts and remember the vows he took before God and his Sweetwater PG family. Reginald, the middle son, will have to quit cooking the books and stop succumbing to the flesh, and baby boy Barry might find his way out of his very peculiar situation.

If all of this happens, then maybe, just maybe the Reverend Goodlove can go back to getting his hustle on from the pulpit! But until then, the sanctified drama promises to make us all scream "Hallelujah!"

Melba:  Excellent read! James should've told the truth at the beginning. That was sad what Michelle did to her child. Oh Brent and Jackie was a twist. I can't wait to discuss that. I was truly surprised with that one. Can you say Nasty? Sunny was just plain CRAZY in all caps; poor Jessica and Tiffany. I can't wait to discuss them too.

Reviewer:  I loved this book.......It took me about a day and a half to read it...........I have passed it on to my sister and I cant wait until she finishes it so we can discuss all this drama........

Dee:  WOW!!! The First Lady, what is really her role "after death"? This book was funny to me; the extremes women will go through to be the pastor's wife. The power, the prestige that tile holds, makes people forget about God. I knew Monique would be the one as I read the book, but I was so upset with her, that she felt to capture his heart she had to give up the "goodies", he feel in love with her before that. Now for Lisa Mae (she going to HELL) that was evil for heart set Marlene up like that. Yeah for Savannah, she need to move from Daddy goes he has issued. Now for Charlene, bless her heart the one he didn't want to be her successor, became her husbands' First Lady. Her intentions were good, but she end up causing a lot of pain to all the women involved. This book was good and I can't wait to discuss the characters in the book.

Sirrellda:  Charlene and Alison know they were playing God with what they were trying to do. Rev. T.K. Wilson did not marry who I was expecting him to marry, but he followed his heart.

Carol:  Elementary Level!!! This book reads on an elementary level. I guess for a first time effort it was o.k. If she had assistance what were they doing. Maybe they wanted the book to sound and be very unpolished.??? Informative and interesting to a small degree. I enjoyed the movie better Fantasia is a strong and terrific singer.

Tammy:  Great story I applaud Fantasia for being able to put her life story in writing. It's amazing how; we can overcome our situation of course with the Guidance from God. He is the one who ultimately has the plan for our lives. As in Fantasia life, we sometimes have to tried in the fire (go thru some things) but in the end we come out as pure Gold. (A Gold Star, in Fastasia's case).

Demetria:  This book explains well how someone who knows they have a gift, and despite a strong faith in God falls into a cycle of poverty and abuse. -->
